Medical or popularly known as MBBS is one of those noble professions that makes you stand out as an individual and as well as an epitome of social integrity. A doctor is not only a man of high values but also of high standards in every aspect of his sphere, be it social, economic or simply put cultural register.

It is often said a profession chooses its own candidate and not vice versa, likewise medicine chooses its own prodigy. You have to have the calling to be a doctor, have the urge to be the singular beacon of hope for the despair and sick. The responsibilities that come along with being a doctor are overwhelming; you are the deciding factor between a person’s life and death. A doctor reflects a healthy society and your patients see recovery, hope and vitality of life in you. Being a doctor is not easy, it’s not tough either. All you need is the dedication to succeed, the morality to adhere to righteousness, the competitiveness to overcome, the diligence to achieve, the perseverance to create and the sensitivity to care, love and instill hope. Once a doctor was asked, what does he value the most in his answer, his prompt answer was, “being the person who saved not only a patient but a family as well”.

Medical abroad is both rewarding and intensive. It exposes you to the true and stark reality of clinical medicine along with all its features. Ukraine follows the European Educational Reforms also known as the Bologna Process. The undergraduate medical course is devoted in 6 years including a one year rotatory pre-graduate internship (Subinternatura) and at the end of which you shall be awarded the coveted MD (Doctor of Medical) degree. The degree allows you to practice all over the world given you qualify in their internal licensing examination which is standard for all applicants no matter their country of origin. Of those 6 years, the first 2 years are devoted towards pre-clinical subjects (e.g. Anatomy, Histology, Biochemistry) the next 2 years are reserved for para-clinical subjects (e.g. Pathological morphology, Pharmacology, Forensics, Pediatrics etc.) the last 2 years are entirely devoted towards Clinical subjects, clinical rotations, clinical practice and observations.

During the MBBS program you shall be trained and mentored to have a clinical outlook and understanding in all form of undergraduate medicine. You shall be exposed to the ever changing world of Medical, which is almost alive with renewed vigor of innovation and discoveries.
